Requirements of collection point with RVM

  • The RVM must be located in a retail outlet of packagings (incl. a store) or within its service area;
  • The use of the RVM is unambiguous and intended only for receiving packagings and refillable packagings from the end consumer;
  • The RVM must be in good working order and usable during the opening hours of the sales outlet and the collection place must have relevant directions;
  • The consumer must have easy access to the front of the RVM, whereas there must be a separate free customer space with the area of at least 1 x 1 square metres in front of each RVM, allowing for the consumers to conveniently put down the packagings and enter them into the RVM;
  • The retailer (administrator of the RVM) obliges to ensure that the RVM can be accessed only during the opening hours of the sales outlet and that the RVM is not working and no packagings can be entered into it during other times;
  • The retailer (administrator of the RVM) obliges to ensure that the employees of the retailer (administrator of the RVM) are not entering packagings into the RVM in the sales outlet during their work duties;
  • The customer space in front of the RVM and the back room of the RVM where packagings are handled and stored, must be clearly separated from each other and lockable;
  • The back room of the RVM must be accessible for only the employee and/or authorised representative of the retailer (administrator of the RVM);
  • If the packagings are not stored in the back room of the RVM, then the relevant storage room must be lockable and accessible to only an authorised representative of the retailer (administrator of the RVM);
  • After entering a packaging into the RVM, it must not be possible to re-enter the packaging again by any means;
  • The packagings identified and accepted by the RVM must be packaged into collection bags issued by the EPP (hereinafter the collection bags) and must be closed with a closure issued by the EPP. Full collection bags must not be stored in open state in the back vroom or in the storage room;
  • The customer area of the RVM must be clean;
  • The customer area of the RVM must display a contact telephone number (of the responsible retailer) which the consumer can call in case of the return vending machine having problems.
